Frequently asked questions
Will my new text match the document's font?
When you use Replace text, PunchPDF reads the size and style of the original text run and matches it to the closest standard PDF font (Helvetica/Arial, Times or Courier, with bold detected automatically). For most business documents the result blends in seamlessly.
Is this safe for confidential documents?
Yes. The entire editor runs in your browser — the PDF is never uploaded, which makes it suitable for statements, agreements and filings.
Can I edit scanned PDFs?
You can add text and white-out anywhere on any PDF, including scans. Click-to-replace needs selectable text, so on image-only scans use Whiteout plus Add text instead.
